This was another of those Cool Things from .......Another site.
This is not plagarism.
I know I have seen it other place before and it needs to be shared.
Eight Gifts
That Don't Cost A Cent!
~THE GIFT OF LISTENING~ But, you must REALLY listen. No interrupting, no daydreaming, no planning your response. Just listening.
~THE GIFT OF AFFECTION~ Be generous with appropriate hugs, kisses, pats on the back and handholds. Let these small actions demonstrate the love you have for family and friends.
~THE GIFT OF LAUGHTER~ Clip cartoons. Share articles and funny stories. Your gift will say, "I love to laugh with you."
~THE GIFT OF A WRITTEN NOTE~ It can be a simple "Thanks for the help" note, or a full sonnet. A brief, handwritten note may be remembered for a lifetime, and may even change a life.
~THE GIFT OF A COMPLIMENT~ A simple and sincere, "You look great in red," "You did a super job," or "That was a wonderful meal", can make someone's day.
~THE GIFT OF A FAVOR~ Every day, go out of your way to do something kind.
~THE GIFT OF SOLITUDE~ There are times when we want nothing better than to be left alone. Be sensitive to those times and give the gift of solitude to others.
~THE GIFT OF A CHEERFUL DISPOSITION~ The easiest way to feel good is to extend a kind word to someone, really it's not that hard to say, "Hello" or "Thank You."
And Don't Forget ~~
LOVE is A Gift We Can Give Every Day!!!

30 Day writing challenge
I found this writing challenge in another blog and decided to change it for my own purpose.
So far.....I have not decided if I want it to be regarding the loss of my beloved husband or if I should make it one regarding the loss of my Mother's memory due to Alzeheimer's Disease.
I may just take the day off to think about it.................I will substitute the word Husband or Mother as I see fit.
30 days does not seem too long.
I check in on my fish and pets on Facebook everyday and have been doing so for months. So, what is each and every day to make some statement on this as well?
Some of the blogs I follow write whole segments of varied interest IN ONE DAY.
(i.e. 'The Pioneer Woman')
How can they be so prolific and talented??
Me, I am lucky if I just write one sentence per day.
Oh well, I guess that is why this is going to be a challenge.

Perhaps Love (of) John Denver
Tonight I am watching a special PBS fundraiser that features John Denver.
I seem to forget how much I do love his music until I hear it again
Then, I just can't seem to get enough.
I start one song, then another and before I realize......time has passed and I end up with songs I "think" I have never heard before.
Of course, then I MUST go to YouTube or one of my Lyric sites and explore and expound on so many.
Oh the journeys for the heart. Each seems to say the feelings of my emotions!
Each one brings memories.........
'Two Different Directions' is of the life with my Beloved Tim.
'Sunshine on My Shoulder' is always of my Joanne. Throw in some Dan Fogelberg for her as well.
The list is endless....one for 'him' and this one for 'her' and then there is the baby and the pet and the Mother and of course there is a special one for the 'Father'.
On and on it goes until I am wrapped in the bubble of Colorado songs. The Eagle, the Mountain, the trees, the stream.
I want to post so many here, but there are too, too many.
How to choose just one?

Thought it was time to check myself in again.
It is officially Autumn and the leaves are starting to change.
I always start to sing "the Autumn Leaves".
The beauty of the red, orange and gold are coming into focus.
This was our time of year.....Not too hot, but not the cold of winter months either. Spring is nice, but you have the chill of the transposing winter air still in rising.
Fall is always the time to reflect on where we have been for the past year, before the hype of the holidays to come.
I look out my window and I dread the thought of all the leaves I will have to rake. It seems each year, there are more and more.
I may just pull a Maxine and wait and let the wind blow them into my neighbors yard and let her deal with them.
Oh how un-neighborly that would be.
Last year we did not rake at all and how embarrassing that was!
No, I will force myself to rake the yards at some time.
I have been enjoying the pictures people have been posting from their journeys to the mountains and even just around their own home stomping grounds.
Wishful that I will be able to contribute from my own life tales.
If not, please know I do have a very wicked imagination.
You Will be seeing more of ME in days ahead.

Yes, there are so many colors in my rainbow.
Each and every day I start with the" bright blessed day" and end with "the dark sacred night."
It is all the colors that I deal with between that illuminate my world.
The beams that greet me from my dear, sweet puppy (who is actually 12 years old) each and every morning shows me the unconditional colors of love we all crave.
This love is bright and beautiful as she waits for me to start our day.
Even as she waits for me to go pee before she gets to go outside. (No, this is not the yellow of my world).
Colors abound as I greet the day. The beauty of the sunrise and the colors it sends across the yard. The trees, the flowers, and even the grass set a stage for my day.
The people I deal with throughout my day bring in all the other colors. The gloomy co-worker brings in the shades of gray, grouchy that he even has to be out and about.
The girl with the sweetest giggle brings the rays of gold. One of the people you look forward to seeing each day.
Minute by minute, day by day......Colors swirl around me.
